The Patient in Room 8
by Feyan Jing-Jing Pulmano

“My insides were mangled. Hunger rippled in my stomached, only to be numbed by the sleep that never really came. I can’t remember how many days I’ve been like this. The hospital halls come across as whitewashed tombs when I slowly walk through them. Quite a few major things happened to Jing in his 9- month stay in the Philippines. He’s back in the Netherlands!! Email him at tyrens@gmail.com, he and his wife Rocelie will love to have you all over at their house in Zuidhoek, Rotterdam.

Papa’s cardiac arrest is a major one. He and Pom often paired together in one shift – watching Papa for 24 hours in the hospital. He was the first one to sit in the Intensive care. In the ward, he took care to give his father an exercise, after the physical treatment of his doctors ended.  Watch the video he made of Papa.

Holding a real hunter’s bow and arrow must be another. This is in Mindanao, with our visit to a local Manobo tribe through PASALI.

So must be planting rice in Palimbang, Mindanao. “Sexy rice,” he called them, because he put them in neat rows.

Giving evangelism training to youth in a local church must be a major as well. He and Pom initiated GET TOGETHER Philippines in our uncles’ church in Taguig. GT Philippines is now online with GT Holland.

But definitely his wedding to beloved Rocelie is number 1, in a scenic hotspring resort in Laguna. Jing pretty much planned to wed Rocelie the year he met her. And now 5 years later, finally, they are Mr. and Mrs. Feyan Joyce Pulmano.
